Executive Director: Rabbi Nitzan BergmanBorn in South Africa and gifted with the perfect accent, Nitzan left for England  to study Economics at the University of Manchester. From there to Israel where he would study in one of the finest Yeshivas in the land. Then into teaching …. A call from Cape Town to take up a Rabbinic position there proved too enticing and off they went. Arrived on the shores of America in 2005 with beautiful wife Yehudis and 3 kids ready to go.  WOW! started to develop and with lots of help and blessing got it off the road. The rest is history…….

Director: Rivka Malka Perlman

Rivka Malka Perlman joined WOW! last year out of her love for Jews of all types. She spent four years in Israel before coming to Baltimore with her husband to raise her kids, teach and reach out to Jews. Her professional experience has run the gamut of Jewish expression; from teaching and mentoring to blogging and event planning .  Her mission is to unlock the joy in Jewish expression and to provide sophisticated educational content to all Jewish seekers. Her energy comes from her love for Jews of all types and from her belief that when two Jews get together magic happens! Hosting WOW Shabbatons is one of her greatest highs. You’re invited!

Our Board is made up of some of the most dynamic young leaders in Baltimore:

Co Chair:  Isaac Pretter, Real Estate Developer

I am a member of the WOW Board because I saw firsthand the success of the organization when I was a participant in the 5 week learning program. There is nothing like WOW in Baltimore and perhaps in the country. I think there is lot more potential for WOW and I am interested to help WOW realize that potential. I think Rabbi Bergman and Rivka Malka Perlman are excellent at what they do. WOW is an organization that is able to leverage the willingness of so many members in our community to create real and lasting relationships.

A few of my favorite things in life are – learning, meeting new people, and making a difference in the world. You can imagine how thrilled I was when I discovered WOW!, an organization that enabled me to do all three! It is a true honor and privilege to be a part of something so great that makes such a difference in every life it touches. I have been with WOW! for over two years now and am so looking forward to witnessing its continued growth and success. Kudos to Rabbi Bergman for all of the hard work he puts in and a yasher koach to everyone involved!
